Our client is a well-established residential builder with an exciting pipeline of work and a reputation for delivering quality homes across the Bay of Plenty. Due to continued growth, they're looking to add an experienced Quantity Surveyor to their commercial team.
This is a broad role where you'll be involved from the early pricing stages through to project completion, working alongside experienced estimators, project managers and operational leaders on a diverse range of residential projects.
You'll play a key role in the commercial delivery of residential construction projects, with responsibilities including:
- Preparing estimates and detailed cost plans.
- Procurement and subcontractor engagement.
- Producing purchase orders and managing budgets.
- Contract administration and project cost control.
- Managing variations and payment claims.
- Supporting Project Managers throughout construction.
- Liaising with clients, consultants, suppliers and subcontractors.
- Contributing to value engineering and commercial decision-making.
We're looking for someone who has:
- Residential Quantity Surveying experience (group housing experience preferred).
- Strong estimating and post-contract QS capability.
- Excellent commercial judgement and attention to detail.
- The ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
