We’re recruiting on behalf of a well-established South Island civil contractor with a strong reputation across earthworks, infrastructure, and civil construction projects.
They’re looking to bring in an experienced Quantity Surveyor with a strong take-offs background to support project delivery through accurate measurement, material scheduling, and drawing interpretation.
This is a technical role focused on quantities rather than commercial management, well suited to someone who enjoys working through drawings, understanding methodology, and producing reliable information that site teams can build from.
You’ll work closely with operational teams across a variety of civil projects including bulk earthworks, drainage, roading, pavements, and concrete structures.
The work involves reviewing IFC drawings, tracking revisions, measuring quantities, and maintaining accurate material schedules that support procurement and project planning.
This role will suit someone who is naturally detail-oriented, methodical in their approach, and comfortable working across multiple project scopes and changing documentation.
About You
You’ll likely come from a civil construction, QS, estimating, or take-offs background and already understand how civil projects are put together on site.
You’ll be comfortable reading drawings and specifications, managing large quantities of information, and producing accurate work without needing heavy oversight.
Experience with Excel, Planswift, or similar take-off software will be beneficial.
