Project Manager

An established, nationwide project management consultancy is seeking a Project Manager to join its Waikato team and support the delivery of a diverse portfolio of infrastructure-focused projects.

The Opportunity:

 
Working alongside experienced project leaders, you'll take ownership of projects from planning and procurement through to delivery and completion.
Projects include:

  • Three waters infrastructure
  • Water, wastewater and stormwater projects
  • Civil and transport infrastructure
  • Public sector and local government programmes
  • Education and community facilities
  • Utilities and wider infrastructure developments
You'll be given genuine responsibility, client exposure, and the opportunity to work across multiple sectors rather than being confined to a single project type.

To be successful you'll have:
  • At least 3 years' New Zealand experience within infrastructure, civil construction, utilities, three waters, education, or the wider construction sector
  • Proven project management experience within a consultancy environment
  • Experience delivering infrastructure projects involving water, wastewater, stormwater, transport, education, public sector, or community assets
  • A relevant tertiary qualification in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Project Management, or a related discipline
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills
  • The ability to build trusted relationships with clients, consultants, contractors, councils, and community stakeholders
  • A proactive and solutions-focused approach to project delivery
  • Competency with MS Office Suite, MS Project, and project management systems
  • The confidence to take ownership while contributing to a high-performing team environment
