We’re recruiting on behalf of a well-established residential construction company with a strong reputation for delivering high-quality homes and multi-unit developments across Wellington.
With a solid pipeline of work ahead, the business is looking to appoint an experienced Project Manager capable of confidently leading projects from planning through to completion while maintaining strong programme control, quality outcomes, and professional client relationships.
This is a role for someone who already understands residential project delivery and can manage subcontractors, sequencing, budgets, and site performance across multiple live projects.
The Role
You will take ownership of residential construction projects from pre-construction through to handover, ensuring programmes, budgets, quality standards, and delivery expectations are consistently achieved.
Working closely with site teams, subcontractors, consultants, and clients, you will be expected to proactively manage project performance, maintain accountability on site, and ensure projects are delivered safely and professionally.
The role is predominantly site-based and suited to someone who is organised, commercially aware, detail-focused, and confident making decisions.

- Maintaining strong site presentation and workflow efficiency
- Proven experience managing multi-unit residential construction projects
- Strong understanding of construction methodology and sequencing
- Ability to manage programmes and drive delivery timeframes
- Experience coordinating multiple subcontractors across live sites
- Strong communication and leadership capability
- High attention to detail and pride in delivery
- Good commercial awareness and organisational skills
- Confidence using construction software and digital systems
- Experience with systems such as Procore, Buildxact, Fieldwire or similar would be advantageous
A construction or trade background is preferred.
