We are working with a well established, family owned construction business delivering commercial, industrial and multi residential projects across the lower North Island.
This is not a corporate tier one environment. It is a vertically integrated Design and Build business with in house capability across pre construction, precast, structures and site delivery. The business has been operating for decades and is known for long term relationships, practical decision making and delivering projects on time and on budget.
The role
You will take full responsibility for the delivery phase of multiple projects, typically $5M+ in value.
You will own:
- Programme and live project timelines
- Budget performance and cost control alongside the QS
- Resource planning and 2 month look ahead scheduling
- Client interface post handover from sales
- Leadership of Site Managers and site teams
- Health and Safety performance across your projects
- Quality assurance and documentation
About you
You are an experienced Project Manager with:
- 3 to 5+ years project management experience in NZ construction
- Proven delivery of $5M+ builds
- Strong understanding of NZ building code and construction contracts
- Commercial awareness and confidence managing budgets and cost risk
- Experience running programmes in software such as MS Project or similar
- The ability to lead teams and hold people accountable
