Project Manager – Drive High-Impact Civil & Electrical Works

We’re looking for an experienced, hands-on Project Manager to deliver smart infrastructure projects across Auckland. If you thrive on balancing office planning with on-site delivery and value strong client relationships, this is your chance to join a well-established company with a solid pipeline of civil and electrical works.

About the Company
Our client is a well-established leader in smart infrastructure, delivering and maintaining assets that keep the city moving – from traffic signals and streetlighting to CCTV and passenger information systems. Known for their collaborative culture, loyal client base, and consistent delivery of quality projects on time and on budget, they offer a supportive environment where your contribution makes a real impact.

About the Role
You’ll be the driving force behind a variety of Auckland-based projects, owning them from pricing to delivery. Balancing office planning with on-site engagement, you’ll ensure quality, client satisfaction, and strong financial results. Working closely with shared field crews (electricians, apprentices, technicians), you’ll handle budgets, claims, invoicing, and client communication. With projects typically lasting 1-3 months, you’ll enjoy a fast-paced role where no two days are the same.
What You’ll Be Responsible For
  • Pricing works (extra or within tenders) and managing budgets
  • Leading projects end-to-end – office to site handover
  • Ensuring quality delivery and compliance with contract specs
  • Building and maintaining strong client relationships
  • Managing progress claims, invoicing, and cost forecasts
  • Coordinating shared field crews for project delivery
What’s in it for You
  • Competitive salary + vehicle, phone & laptop
  • Autonomy and trust – no micromanaging
  • Join a successful, growing company with a strong pipeline of work
  • Work on projects that make a visible impact in Auckland’s network
  • Supportive, close-knit team environment
About You
  • 3+ years’ NZ project management experience in civil or electrical infrastructure
  • Confident in pricing, cost control, and financial management
  • Skilled at balancing office-based planning with on-site presence
  • Proven ability to manage client relationships for repeat business
  • Familiarity with ASNZS3910 contracts
  • ITS project experience highly regarded
