About Role
As a Planner, you’ll be involved in a wide range of advisory and development projects, providing planning expertise that helps clients navigate complexity and achieve positive outcomes. You’ll work closely with councils, iwi, developers, and internal project teams, offering both statutory and strategic planning advice with a commercial lens.
What You’ll Be Responsible For
- Preparing and reviewing resource consents, plan changes, and policy documents
- Providing clear planning and property advice to clients and project teams
- Engaging with councils, iwi, and stakeholders to progress projects
- Interpreting district plans, RMA requirements, and new planning reforms
- Supporting strategy and feasibility work on property and development projects
- Varied projects across residential, commercial, and civic developments
- Collaborative team culture with supportive senior leaders

You’ll bring a planning background and a proactive, solutions-focused approach.
- Tertiary qualification in Planning or related field
- Strong understanding of RMA, planning policy, and development frameworks
- Experience in consultancy or private practice
- A background in Policy Planning is a bonus
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- Commercially minded, client-facing, and collaborative
