This is an opportunity to step into a senior leadership role within a well-established construction business, taking responsibility for the performance of a significant regional operation.
With responsibility across both Wellington and Manawatu, you'll typically spend three days per week in Manawatu and two days in Wellington. Candidates can be based anywhere within the region and travel between locations as required.
You'll lead experienced managers, support project delivery teams, strengthen client relationships and ensure projects are delivered safely, profitably and to a high standard.
The role isn't about sitting behind a desk reviewing reports. It's about being visible, building trust, making good decisions and creating an environment where people can perform at their best.
You'll need enough commercial acumen to understand the numbers, enough operational experience to know what good delivery looks like, and enough leadership capability to bring people with you.
About You You may currently be a:
- Construction Manager
- Regional Manager
- Operations Manager
- Senior Project Manager
- Contracts Manager looking for a broader leadership opportunity
- Proven experience within commercial construction, trades or subcontracting
- Strong operational leadership capability
- Experience leading managers, supervisors and project teams
- Sound commercial judgement
- The ability to build credibility with clients, site teams and senior stakeholders alike
