New Home Sales Consultant | Northland
If you're a proven salesperson who enjoys getting out, meeting people and creating your own opportunities, this could be a great move into the new home market.
We're working with an established residential building business looking to add a New Home Consultant to its Northland team. Based from the Ruakākā office, you'll look after the territory extending north through Whangārei and up towards Kerikeri, building relationships, developing your network and generating new business along the way.
You'll have the backing of a recognised national building brand and an experienced local team, but this isn't a role where you'll simply sit back and wait for enquiries to arrive. There will be leads and marketing support, but a big part of your success will come from getting out into the market and creating your own pipeline.
That could mean developing relationships with agents, developers, landowners and other local contacts, attending events, following up opportunities and becoming genuinely well connected across the local property and building market.
Once you've got a client engaged, you'll guide them through the new home sales process. You'll understand what they're trying to achieve, work through land and build options, bring the right people into the conversation and keep things moving towards contract.
New home sales experience would obviously be valuable, but it isn't the only background we're interested in. We're open to strong salespeople from property, automotive, building products or other relationship-led sales environments where you've been responsible for finding and converting your own business.
What matters is that you can demonstrate a genuine track record in sales and business development. You'll be comfortable prospecting, starting conversations, following up consistently and asking for the business. You'll understand that building a pipeline takes time and be motivated enough to keep creating opportunities rather than relying solely on inbound leads.
Personality matters too. We're looking for someone confident, personable and commercially driven who genuinely enjoys dealing with people. Someone who can build trust quickly, have a bit of fun along the way and develop relationships that last beyond a single sale.
An understanding of construction, property or development would be useful, but you don't need to know everything on day one. You'll have experienced people around you, along with the systems and support of an established building brand.
If you've got the sales ability, drive and personality to build a strong presence, we'd be keen to hear from you.
