New Home Consultant

New Home Sales Consultant | Bay of Plenty

If you're good at sales, enjoy building relationships and would rather create opportunities than wait for the phone to ring, this could be a very good move.

We're working with an established residential building business looking to add an experienced sales professional to its New Home Consultant team. The role will be based in Rotorua, representing the business locally, with the wider team and head office based in Tauranga.

This isn't simply about sitting in a show home and dealing with incoming enquiries. You'll have the backing of an established national brand, marketing support and a strong local business, but you'll also be expected to get out into the market and create your own opportunities.

That could mean building relationships with landowners, developers, agents and other local contacts, getting involved in the community, following up leads, networking and finding opportunities before they necessarily land on your desk.
Once you've got a client engaged, you'll work with them through the early stages of their new home journey. You'll understand what they're trying to achieve, work through land and build options, help shape the right solution and keep the relationship moving through to contract.

We're reasonably open on where your experience has come from. New home sales experience would obviously translate well, but we're equally interested in people from other sales environments who can demonstrate a genuine track record of business development, prospecting and generating their own pipeline.

You'll need to be comfortable starting conversations, following up consistently and asking for the business. Just as importantly, you need to be someone clients trust with what is often one of the biggest financial decisions they'll make.

An understanding of residential construction, property or development would be useful, but it isn't necessarily the deciding factor. Sales capability, commercial drive and your ability to build relationships will carry plenty of weight.

You'll be joining an experienced, down-to-earth team with plenty happening across the wider Bay of Plenty market. There's good support around you, but also enough autonomy to get out there and build something for yourself.

If you've got a proven sales background in New Zealand and the idea of moving into new homes appeals, we'd be keen to have a conversation.
