About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Design Engineer to join a an Auckland based consultancy. This is an opportunity to work on innovative renewable energy projects, contributing from concept through to delivery.
Depending on your experience, you may undertake a structured 3 to 6 month development programme, followed by a performance review and long-term career progression.
Key Responsibilities:
• Design and engineer solar PV and renewable energy systems
• Conduct feasibility studies, simulations, and technical analysis
• Develop detailed project documentation, reports, and system designs
• Engage with clients to understand technical requirements and provide solutions
• Manage projects from concept through to completion
• Perform site visits and support project implementation
• Create CAD drawings and 3D models (e.g. SketchUp, Revit)
• Ensure compliance with NZ/AU standards and industry best practices
• Identify and resolve technical issues across projects
• Maintain strong client relationships and deliver high-quality outcomes
