Contracts Manager

The Role
Based at the Mosgiel depot, you will play a hands-on leadership role within the management team, overseeing contracts in subdivisions, road rehabilitation, site works, drainage, and related civil projects. Your remit spans from tender through to project delivery, ensuring quality, safety, and a high standard across all stages.

What You’ll Be Doing
  • Own contracts from tender through to completion
  • Plan and coordinate crews, plant, and resources to deliver safely and efficiently
  • Develop job programmes, safety and traffic management plans, and quality plans
  • Liaise with clients on scheduling, variations, and satisfaction
  • Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and quality standards
  • Monitor project profitability - prepare claims, invoicing, and reporting
  • Foster a collaborative team culture and support staff development
What You’ll Bring
  • 5+ years of experience in civil construction, including subdivisions, roading, and earthworks
  • Expertise in road rehabilitation is highly valued
  • Drainage experience is a definite bonus
  • Strong project and contract administration skills, from planning to invoicing
  • Familiarity with health, safety, environmental, and quality compliance
  • Clear communicator with a practical leadership approach
