Levin | Full-time | $120k–$135k + vehicle
This is a growth role, for someone who’s good at building teams, creating structure, and getting things done without the corporate fluff. The company’s entering a new chapter, shifting from a builder-led model to a structured group with construction, property, retirement, and trade divisions all under one roof.
With major projects underway, including a 21,000m² serviced apartment development, a 100-bed care suite, multiple subdivisions, and a billion-dollar lifestyle village in Hamilton, the business is scaling up and investing in people and systems to match. Most trades sit in-house, joinery, civils, plumbing, flooring, scaffolding, and engineering, giving real control over quality, timeframes, and costs.
The role
The Construction Manager will take ownership of project delivery across the group, working closely with the GM of Construction and project teams to lift standards and put structure behind delivery. At the moment, too much sits with one person, pricing, programming, project management, and site delivery. This role is about spreading that load and leading from the front.
You’ll work closely with Site Managers, Foremen, and Project Leads to ensure programmes, budgets, and compliance are on track. It’s a hands-on leadership role where you’ll bring clarity, consistency, and accountability to every job. You’ll set expectations, put systems in place, and work with the leadership team to embed a culture that values doing things right the first time. You’ll also be key in aligning the construction arm with the pre-construction and civils teams, ensuring projects move smoothly from early planning through to delivery.
What you’ll be doing day-to-day:
- Overseeing multiple sites to ensure work is delivered safely, on time, and to standard
- Supporting Site Managers and Foremen with planning, resourcing, and coordination
- Tightening programmes and budgets and improving forecasting accuracy
- Lifting H&S and environmental compliance across all projects
- Leading toolbox talks, inspections, and performance reviews
- Working closely with the GM Construction on reporting and workflow improvements
- Contributing to process improvement across scheduling, procurement, and software.
- Acting as a point of contact for clients and stakeholders during construction
Who we’re looking for:
- 7+ years in construction, ideally across commercial or large-scale residential
- Experience leading multiple sites or projects through delivery
- Strong people management skills, someone who mentors rather than micromanages
- Good technical understanding of construction methods, sequencing, and compliance
- Confident working with budgets, timelines, and reporting metrics
- Straightforward communicator with sound judgement and practical decision-making skills
Why this role?
This isn’t about sitting in an office all day. You’ll have influence, autonomy, and the backing of a group that’s well-resourced and ambitious.
It’s the kind of opportunity that suits a steady, capable operator, maybe a strong Site or Project Manager who’s ready for the next step, or a Construction Manager who wants a role with more variety and responsibility. You’ll be joining a company in the middle of transformation, with the chance to shape how construction is run for years to come.
